Rosewood Vienna opened in 2022 inside a restored 19th-century building on Petersplatz, once home to the Erste osterreichische Spar-Casse bank, in the very heart of the old town. An Asaya spa handles wellness, and the rooftop terrace is the quiet trump card, a rare private vantage over the city’s domes and spires.
The prose the hotel attracts tends towards the purple, but the substance is real: a genuinely historic building, an unbeatable address and Rosewood’s discreet service. For a culture-led Vienna stay built around the opera, the Albertina and the coffeehouses, it is the most characterful luxury base in the city centre.
