Four Seasons Scottsdale Review

A beautifully integrated desert resort where exceptional Four Seasons service, private plunge-pool suites and the dramatic Sonoran landscape create a genuinely memorable Arizona escape.

Overview

Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North is one of those properties where the setting becomes part of the stay. Surrounded by towering saguaro cacti, granite boulders and the Sonoran Desert, the resort feels deeply connected to Arizona rather than simply placed within it.

The Southwestern architecture uses earthy tones, natural stone and native planting, while the overall atmosphere is peaceful and understated. During our stay, the Oasis Plunge Pool Suite was a real highlight, with a separate living room, two bathrooms and a private terrace with its own plunge pool and outdoor shower.

Dining is relaxed rather than overly formal. Proof is ideal for a slow breakfast, ONYX Bar & Lounge works well for drinks, and the complimentary morning coffee station became one of those small details that made the stay feel especially thoughtful.

What really sets the resort apart, though, is the desert itself. Hiking trails, mountain views, wellness facilities and spectacular sunsets make it easy to experience the landscape without giving up the comfort you would expect from Four Seasons. Service was warm and responsive throughout our stay, and even when a small issue arose, the team handled it quickly and thoughtfully.

If you are looking for a quiet luxury escape with a strong sense of place, Four Seasons Scottsdale is one of the most memorable ways to experience the Sonoran Desert.

Rooms & Suites

We stayed in the Oasis Plunge Pool Suite, which feels more like a private desert residence than a hotel room. It has a separate living room, bedroom, two bathrooms, a walk-in closet and a private terrace with a plunge pool, lounge areas, outdoor television and shower.

Dining

Dining feels relaxed and easy. Proof serves breakfast until 2pm, ONYX Bar & Lounge is ideal for drinks and light bites, while Talavera is the resort's signature restaurant. The complimentary morning coffee and pastries in the lobby were also a lovely touch.

Location

Pinnacle Peak is right on the doorstep, making this one of the easiest luxury resorts in Scottsdale for experiencing the Sonoran Desert on foot. The surrounding landscape is filled with saguaro cacti, granite boulders and some of Arizona's best sunset views.

Set the scene.

Four Seasons Scottsdale feels completely connected to the Sonoran Desert. Southwestern architecture, natural stone, native planting and dramatic mountain scenery make the resort feel like it belongs in the landscape rather than sitting on top of it.

Anything to say about the service?

Service was warm, thoughtful and genuinely caring. When a few desert insects found their way into our suite, housekeeping responded within minutes, resolved the issue and followed up carefully, which left a very strong impression.

Who stays here?

This resort is ideal for couples, honeymooners, nature lovers, wellness travellers and anyone wanting a quieter luxury escape surrounded by Arizona's desert landscape.
