Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North is one of those properties where the setting becomes part of the stay. Surrounded by towering saguaro cacti, granite boulders and the Sonoran Desert, the resort feels deeply connected to Arizona rather than simply placed within it.
The Southwestern architecture uses earthy tones, natural stone and native planting, while the overall atmosphere is peaceful and understated. During our stay, the Oasis Plunge Pool Suite was a real highlight, with a separate living room, two bathrooms and a private terrace with its own plunge pool and outdoor shower.
Dining is relaxed rather than overly formal. Proof is ideal for a slow breakfast, ONYX Bar & Lounge works well for drinks, and the complimentary morning coffee station became one of those small details that made the stay feel especially thoughtful.
What really sets the resort apart, though, is the desert itself. Hiking trails, mountain views, wellness facilities and spectacular sunsets make it easy to experience the landscape without giving up the comfort you would expect from Four Seasons. Service was warm and responsive throughout our stay, and even when a small issue arose, the team handled it quickly and thoughtfully.
If you are looking for a quiet luxury escape with a strong sense of place, Four Seasons Scottsdale is one of the most memorable ways to experience the Sonoran Desert.
