Four Seasons Hotel Amman Review

A polished hilltop city hotel with spacious rooms, excellent dining, strong wellness facilities and the dependable service Four Seasons does so well.

Overview

Four Seasons Hotel Amman occupies a commanding position on one of the city’s highest hills, giving it broad views across Jordan’s capital while keeping guests within easy reach of central Amman. The hotel was also Four Seasons’ first property in the Middle East, opening in 2003.

There are 192 rooms and suites, and even entry-level accommodation is generous by city-hotel standards. The design draws on Jordanian colours, materials and cultural influences rather than relying on a generic international-luxury aesthetic.

Dining is another strong point. La Capitale offers contemporary French brasserie cooking, Olea focuses on breakfast, while SIRR adds Japanese Nikkei cuisine. There are also relaxed lounge and seasonal poolside options, plus 24-hour in-room dining.

The wellness facilities give the property much more of a resort feel than many capital-city hotels. Guests have access to an indoor heated pool, a seasonal rooftop outdoor pool, whirlpool, spa, fitness centre and even a squash court.

Four Seasons Amman is particularly useful as the beginning or end of a wider Jordan itinerary. You can spend time exploring the capital, then continue to Petra, Wadi Rum or the Dead Sea while retaining the comfort and predictability of a serious luxury hotel.

Location

Explore the Amman Citadel and Roman Theatre, then use the hotel as a base for longer trips to Petra, Wadi Rum and the Dead Sea. Its elevated location also gives you excellent views over the modern city.

Set the scene.

Four Seasons Hotel Amman sits high above the city, combining grand architecture with interiors influenced by Jordan’s landscape and its mix of Arabic, Islamic and Western culture. The atmosphere feels formal enough for a capital-city hotel but still warm and residential.

Is it child friendly?

Service is polished and highly dependable, with multilingual concierge support, 24-hour in-room dining and the kind of attentive, low-friction hospitality expected from Four Seasons.

Who stays here?

The hotel suits couples, business travellers, families and first-time visitors using Amman as a base for exploring Jordan. It works particularly well for travellers who want a full-service luxury hotel before or after trips to Petra, Wadi Rum or the Dead Sea.

Anything we missed?

The wellness facilities are substantial for a city hotel, with an indoor heated pool, seasonal rooftop outdoor pool, whirlpool, spa, fitness centre and squash court. The spa also incorporates treatments inspired by Jordanian ingredients and traditions.

Is it worth it—and why?

Yes, especially if you want the consistency of Four Seasons alongside a central Amman location. Spacious rooms, strong dining and proper wellness facilities make it a very complete base for exploring Jordan.
